As an extension of the original Prime + Proper Detroit, our Nashville location embraces the essence of the city itself—its legacy of craft, resilience, and culture. Just blocks away from the historic Union Station, once a grand gateway for travelers arriving in Tennessee, and adjacent to the city’s storied stockyards, our home pays homage to Nashville’s deep connection to cattle, culture, and commerce. This history resonates profoundly with our steakhouse concept, where timeless traditions of American dining are honored, yet reimagined for the modern guest.

The Nashville Yards, a 19-acre mixed-use district, offers the perfect stage for Prime + Proper. Surrounded by world-class amenities, a state-of-the-art live music venue, and over two million square feet of vibrant urban space, our restaurant is both a reflection of the city’s growth and a preservation of its enduring spirit.
Much like our Detroit flagship, Prime + Proper Nashville combines meticulous craftsmanship, bold design, and culinary excellence. From the rich textures and contemporary influences of our dining space to the precision and artistry on each plate, we embody a new standard for the modern American steakhouse. By honoring the history of Nashville while introducing our own legacy, Prime + Proper creates a dining experience that is as unforgettable as the city it calls home.

The butchers at Prime + Proper work very closely with our select purveyors, ensuring that the quality of meats is pristine year-round. Our in-house butcher shop ages all of our USDA Prime Beef for no less than 28 days and our USDA Prime Lamb for no less than 14 days.

To begin the dry aging process, our butchers receive their weekly order and hand-select every individual piece to ensure that only the highest quality cuts are used. The meats are then tagged with the date and weight, and placed into our aging room where the magic begins. In our dry aging room, the meats’ natural enzymes break down the fibers and connective tissues while evaporating most of the water weight, leaving a beautiful, bright cherry red steak that’s ready for grilling.

At Prime + Proper, our butchers pride themselves on sourcing the finest USDA Prime beef, lamb, certified Japanese Wagyu, and other Rare cuts from around the globe. From our farmers to Prime + Proper’s butchers, it’s our promise to provide the highest quality proteins 52 weeks of the year. Along with the beautiful USDA Prime, we source from small farms from around the US to bring limited amounts of special cuts that are not found anywhere else.

To top it off, our Japanese Wagyu is expertly aged and cut to perfection and we will proudly hold the certificates for each Wagyu loin in our shop. At Prime + Proper, we are certain that our guests will receive the highest quality of meats possible with our proper standard of excellence, delivering not only a unique butcher shop experience, but our Prime + Proper experience.
